🌸

Camano Ariel is a cactus dahlia bred by Dick and Susan Ambrose on Camano Island, Washington, and introduced in 1990. Its blooms carry a warm light blend of yellow and pink, with the pointed, rolled petals typical of the cactus form. The variety has remained a steady presence in show collections and cutting gardens for decades, valued for its reliable bloom production and refined color.

How to Grow It

Plant tubers after the last frost in a full-sun location with well-draining soil. Stake plants early to support the height they reach by midsummer. Pinch the central bud after the first set of leaves to encourage branching and more blooms. Deadhead regularly to extend the flowering season into fall.
