Your privacy, plainly explained
Last updated: April 2026
We don't like privacy policies that feel like legal traps either. Here's what we collect, why we collect it, and what we'll never do with it.
What we collect
When you create an account, we ask for your name and email. You can also add your city, state, and farm or business name if you want. That's it. If you sign in with Google, we get your name, email, and profile photo from Google directly.
If you place an order, we collect your shipping address so the seller knows where to send your tubers. Payments are processed by Stripe, one of the most trusted payment processors in the world and the same service used by companies like Amazon, Google, and Shopify. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers, so we never see or store them. When a transaction occurs, two fees apply: a small platform fee that helps keep The Dahlia Hub running, and Stripe's standard payment processing fee. Both are clearly shown before you pay, and together they're less than you'd pay on other platforms.
What we do with it
- Run your account and keep you signed in
- Send order confirmation emails. Sellers handle fulfillment, shipping, and follow-up with buyers
- Show your public profile and seller store, if you have one
We don't sell your info to anyone. Full stop.
Cookies
We use one secure cookie to keep you logged in. That's the only cookie we set. No ad tracking, no third-party analytics pixels, nothing like that.
How long we keep your data
Your account data stays until you close your account. If you want us to delete everything, just email us and we'll sort it out quickly. The one exception is order records: we're required to keep those for 7 years for tax purposes. That's the only thing we hold onto.
