Hollyhill Buttermilk is a prolific producer bearing generous blooms in a soft, luminous butter yellow. Bred by Ted and Margaret Kennedy of Oregon City, Oregon, this hard-to-find shade sits between cream and gold, making it a sought-after addition to wedding work and garden cutting. The ruffled petals hold their form well from bud to fully open bloom, and the plant produces strong stems in good numbers throughout the season.

How to Grow It

Plant tubers in full sun after the last frost. Space plants to allow airflow and encourage strong stem development. Pinch the central shoot early to promote branching and a higher yield of cut-ready stems. Regular deadheading keeps production up. Stake plants when young before they get too tall.
