How to use My Collection
From adding your first variety to creating your first listing.
What is My Collection?
My Collection is a free tool to track the dahlias you grow or own. It is separate from your wishlist.
- Wishlist: varieties you want to grow someday.
- My Collection: varieties you grow or own right now.
No cap on varieties or seasons. Free forever.
Adding dahlias
Click Add variety and search the Dahlia Hub catalog. If the variety is in there, the form, color, and size fill in on their own.
If your variety is not in the catalog, type a custom name. You will see an option to suggest it for addition. You can also bulk-add from your wishlist or upload a CSV spreadsheet.
Understanding quantities
Each item tracks four quantity fields:

| Total tubers | How many tubers you have in total. |
| For sale | How many you are willing to sell. |
| On hold for orders | Set aside for confirmed orders that have not shipped yet. Updates automatically. |
| Available | Marked for sale minus on hold. What you can still list right now. |
Listing tubers for sale
If you have tubers you want to sell, mark some for sale and click List for Sale on the item detail page. No seller profile yet? It takes a couple of minutes to set one up, and it is free.
The listing form pulls in your variety, quantity, and price. Once it is live, buyers on The Dahlia Hub can find it and buy from you directly. Your inventory counts update automatically as orders come in.
Public vs. private inventory
Your collection is private by default. What you have, where you grow it, prices, notes, and photos are yours alone.
If you mark an item as public, only the variety name and growing status show on your grower profile.
When you publish a marketplace listing, buyers can find it and buy from you. Your collection details stay hidden either way.

- →Use the location field to name your beds. It stays private.
- →Export CSV before selling season so you have a clean backup.
- →Use notes for supplier, condition, or planting details.
- →Keep your For sale number on the low side. You can always add more later.

- Is My Collection really free?
- Yes. No limits on varieties or seasons, no tiers, no paywalls.
- Do I need a seller account to use it?
- No. Any registered user can track their collection. You only need a seller profile if you want to list tubers for sale on the marketplace.
- What's the difference between My Collection and the wishlist?
- The wishlist is for varieties you want to grow someday. My Collection is for varieties you actually grow or own.
- Can I import from a spreadsheet?
- Yes. Upload up to 2,000 rows at a time. A column-mapping step lets you match your headers to the right fields.
- Will my inventory be visible to other people?
- No. Everything is private by default. If you mark an item public, only the variety name and catalog info appear on your grower profile. Quantities, location, supplier, and prices are never shown.
- What happens when an order is cancelled or refunded?
- The tubers that were on hold go back to available automatically when an order is cancelled or fully refunded before shipping.
