Incurved Cactus · 7–9"WhiteBill Bonneywell (2010)United States

Snoho Storm was bred in United States by Bill Bonneywell in 2010. Long spiky petals curl inward on a pure white head that holds its shape across a long table. Bill Bonneywell bred this in Snohomish, Washington for the show floor, and the flower still turns judges' heads at regional meets decades on. It also holds its form on the show bench.

Growing Snoho Storm

Stake early and stake hard. You will watch tall plants lift heavy heads well above the row, so a lone cane will snap in a squall. Pinch at four sets of leaves to multiply laterals, then disbud aggressively for the cleanest show-grade heads. Feed lightly once buds form and keep water even through August heat. Give it room at the back of the row so the long stems have space to breathe.

Spacing
Space about 3 ft apart
Staking
Stake early — stems carry heavy blooms and lean in wind
