Informal Decorative · 6–9"Pink

Cafe Au Lait Rose fills late-summer beds with oversized blooms in a deep, iridescent cerise-pink that warms toward rose at the center and cools to softer lavender-pink at the petal tips. It shares the generous branching and long cutting stems of its famous sibling, producing a steady succession of flowers from midsummer through frost. Where the original leans toward blush and cream, this one commits fully to pink, making it the go-to choice when you need both scale and color.

Growing Cafe Au Lait Rose

Stake plants at planting time before the root system establishes. Pinch growing tips early to promote branching and additional bloom stems. Water consistently at the base to keep foliage dry, and feed with a low-nitrogen fertilizer once buds begin to form. Disbud side buds on each stem if you want larger terminal blooms for cutting.

Spacing
Space roughly 2–3 ft apart
Staking
Stake early — stems carry heavy blooms and lean in wind
