Andy's Legacy is an informal decorative dahlia that opens 6–8" blooms with Light Blend coloring. Cut a stem of Andy's Legacy and the room asks what that color is. Apricot, coral, and salmon petals fold and ruffle together in a smoky blend, with lavender reversing on the undersides and a warm honey center pulling it all together. It was bred in United States by Swan Island Dahlias in 2016.

Growing Andy's Legacy

Plant in full sun and stake at planting time, as this variety grows into a tall, full plant that benefits from early support. Pinch when young to encourage more branching and a greater number of stems per plant. It is reliably productive across the whole season and handles both summer heat and cool autumn nights without losing quality. Dark stems are a characteristic of this variety and a sign of vigor.

Spacing
Space about 3 ft apart
Staking
Stake early — stems carry heavy blooms and lean in wind
