Diana Gregory produces perfectly round, tightly packed blooms in a soft lavender-lilac that deepens slightly toward the center. Each globe is built from rows of involute petals that roll inward with almost mechanical precision, giving the flower an unusually clean finish. It is a long-standing fixture in UK dahlia shows, where judges reward the tight spherical form and the cool, even color that holds without browning at the tips. It also holds its form on the show bench.

Growing Diana Gregory

Pinch growing tips once plants reach knee height to encourage more flowering stems. Stake at planting before the root system is established, as taller late-season stems can sway. Keep watering even through warm spells to preserve the cool lavender tone; uneven moisture can push the color warmer. Feed with a low-nitrogen fertilizer once buds set, and disbud side shoots if you want exhibition-quality globes.
