Ferncliff Illusion
The wedding dahlia flower farmers keep for themselves.
Picture the centerpiece everyone asks about, white petals that melt into soft lavender at every tip, shifting with the light. Ferncliff Illusion pulls this off through a naturally occurring pigment gradient that no dye or trick can replicate. Grow it once and you will understand why flower farmers refuse to sell their last bunch.

How to Grow It
Plant tubers in a sunny spot after your last frost date. Pinch the center shoot early to encourage branching and more blooms. Stake the plants when they are young. Stems get long and the flowers are worth protecting. Disbud side buds if you want the largest possible blooms for arrangements. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to keep new buds coming right through fall. In colder climates, dig and store your tubers after the first frost.
