Gerrie Hoek
The dahlia experts have called the most popular of all time.
Gerrie Hoek has been winning hearts since 1942, and for good reason. Its broad, overlapping petals open into a soft shell pink that pales toward the tips, giving every bloom an airy, luminous quality straight-cut florists reach for first. If you want the variety that has outlasted every trend and still sells out every season, this is it.

How to Grow It
Plant your tubers in full sun after your last frost date. Pinch the central shoot when you have three sets of leaves to encourage branching and a bigger harvest. Stake early, as plants get tall and the stems are worth protecting. Keep cutting regularly and cut all the way down to a lateral bud or leaf node; the more you cut, the more it gives. Deadhead anything you miss to keep energy going into new buds. Water deeply and consistently, especially during warm spells, but avoid wetting the foliage.
