Angels of 7A
The dahlia that honors the heroes of Portland's trauma unit.
A red so vivid it stops you mid-stride, broad cupped petals layering into a perfectly balanced bloom that holds on sturdy stems through the longest summer days. Named in honor of the trauma nurses of Portland's OHSU Unit 7A, it carries a story as powerful as its color.

How to Grow It
Plant in full sun in rich, well-drained soil and stake early, as your plant will grow quite tall. Pinch the central shoot shortly after planting to encourage bushy growth and a generous flush of blooms. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to keep new buds opening from midsummer right through the first frost. Harvest stems in the early morning when blooms are freshly open.
