Golden Heart is a semi-cactus dahlia that opens 6–7" blooms in orange. Golden Heart earns its name from the molten golden glow that radiates outward from its center, warming each petal tip from deep red-orange to bright gold. Growing Golden Heart

Plant in full sun with good air circulation. Pinch the central stem once four sets of leaves have formed to encourage more lateral branches and longer cutting stems. Stake early, as the tall plants carry moderately heavy blooms. Water consistently at the base and avoid overhead irrigation to keep petals clean. Feed with a low-nitrogen, high-phosphorus formula through summer and into fall. Cut stems in the early morning for the best holding quality.
