Introduced in 2012 as part of the celebrated Hapet line, it holds color through summer heat and stands up in mixed bouquets and back-border plantings. Hapet Daydream is a formal decorative dahlia that opens 3–4" blooms in pink.

Growing Hapet Daydream

Stake early since stems carry dense, heavy heads that can flop in wind or heavy rain. Pinch the main stem above the lower leaf sets to encourage branching and a longer cutting window. Feed lightly with a low-nitrogen fertilizer once buds set, and water deeply at the base to protect color saturation. Cut when outer petals have unfurled but the center remains tight for the longest indoor display.
