Growing Innocence

Plant in full sun after the last frost date. Pinch the growing tip when the plant has several sets of leaves to encourage bushier growth and more stems. Water regularly but avoid soggy soil. Stake early. The plant grows tall and benefits from support before it needs it. Harvest blooms when they are three-quarters open for the best vase life; sear the stem ends in hot water immediately after cutting.

Spacing
Space about 3 ft apart
Staking
Stake early — stems carry heavy blooms and lean in wind
