New Baby has charmed gardeners since 1964 with its compact, perfectly formed blooms that open tangerine and deepen to vivid vermillion around a warm yellow eye. A Dutch original that earns its place in any cutting garden, it produces flower after flower from midsummer through frost and rewards you the more you pick.

How to Grow It

Plant in full sun in moist, well-drained soil after your last frost date. Stake plants early, as they grow tall and the stems need support to keep blooms upright. Deadhead regularly to encourage continuous flowering, and pinch back early growth to promote a bushier plant with more stems. Lift and store tubers after the first frost in colder climates.
