Pink Sylvia is a formal decorative dahlia that opens 3–4" blooms in pink. Hot pink blooms open with a high-voltage punch and soften to icy bubblegum as they age, giving each stem a two-week color arc that works fresh or partially open. Petals pack tightly into a rounded, fully doubled head that holds its shape well after cutting. It was bred in Netherlands by H.G.J. Broekhof in 1991.

Growing Pink Sylvia

Pinch your plants once they reach about a foot tall to encourage branching and multiply your stem count. Stake early so rows stay tidy through summer storms. Cut deeply on every harvest pass; frequent picking signals more flower production. Feed with a low-nitrogen fertilizer once buds start forming and water consistently to keep color intensity through late summer.
