Ryecroft Jan produces tight, geometrically perfect spheres of pure ivory white on tall, upright plants. Introduced in 2001 by British hybridizer Godsmark, it earned the RHS Award of Garden Merit and placed on the ADS Cream of the Crop list with 47 show awards in 2022. Its crisp white blooms resist yellowing and hold their form from garden to vase.

How to Grow It

Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil. Pinch early to encourage branching. This is a very tall variety and will need sturdy stakes and double netting for support. Harvest blooms at three-quarters open, checking the back petals for firmness. Cut and condition in cool water immediately for the longest-lasting results.
