Zippity Do Da was bred in United States by Nick Gitts in 2005. Teeny taffy-pink pompons open with a whisper of lavender at the center and hold their globe shape from bud to fully open. Plants push out a relentless stream of stems from midsummer through frost, making this one of the most productive small-flowered dahlias in a cutting garden. Zippity Do Da is a pompon dahlia that opens 1.5–2" blooms in pink.

Growing Zippity Do Da

Pinch when twelve inches tall to encourage branching and maximize stem count. Water at the base to keep the foliage dry through summer. Stake at planting time since stems can reach four feet and need early support. Cut stems early in the morning once the first petals are fully open and condition in cool water overnight.
