Babylon Bronze is a large dinner-plate dahlia from Holland that produces abundant, upward-facing blooms in a warm mix of bronze, apricot, and glowing orange touched with hints of coral. The fully double flowers carry surprisingly little water weight, keeping stems upright even after rain without staking. It is a vigorous, free-blooming variety prized by both home gardeners and flower farmers for its exceptional stem strength and long field performance through the growing season. It is a 1999 Netherlands introduction.

Growing Babylon Bronze

Pinch plants at six nodes to encourage branching. Stake early and secure loosely to guide tall growth. Water deeply once or twice per week, letting soil dry slightly between sessions. Feed with a low-nitrogen fertilizer once buds form. Cut stems early in the morning when blooms are two-thirds open for best longevity.
