Blush-pink petals layer into a rounded, softly rotund bloom with a paler heart, giving this Australian-bred favourite a romantic, old-fashioned feel. Long, strong stems carry the flowers well above the foliage from midsummer into autumn, making it a reliable choice for cutting gardens and bridal bouquets. It was bred in Australia by Naumann in 1988.

Growing Brackenridge Ballerina

Plant tubers after the last frost in full sun and free-draining soil enriched with compost. Stake early as stems reach shoulder height. Water deeply once flower buds form and feed fortnightly with a potassium-rich fertiliser. Pinch the growing tip at four leaves to encourage side shoots, and cut regularly to keep new buds coming.
