Growing Classic Summertime

Plant in full sun in fertile, well-drained soil once frost danger has passed. Pinch the growing tip above the third leaf pair to encourage branching and more blooms. Water deeply but let the soil surface dry slightly between sessions to prevent tuber rot. Feed every two weeks with a balanced fertilizer once flowering begins. Cut stems in the morning when the outer petals are fully open to maximize how long they hold after harvest.
