Warm golden petals flush with a blush of red, opening wide to reveal a glowing open center that draws every eye in the room. Sun-yellow meeting deep rose in a single bloom makes it unmistakable in a mixed bucket or a crowded garden row. A Paul Bloomquist original from Lynden, Washington, this is the variety that earns a permanent spot in the rotation.

How to Grow It
Plant your tuber in full sun after your last frost date, once the soil has warmed through. Pinch above several sets of leaves early on to push branching and a generous stem count. Your plant will grow to roughly waist to chest height by midsummer, so stake or cage it as it fills out. Water consistently at the root zone rather than overhead, and deadhead spent blooms regularly to keep your plant producing well into the season.
