About Coltness Gem

One of the oldest catalogued dahlias still in active cultivation — first introduced more than 104 years ago.

Growing Coltness Gem

Plant tubers in a warm, sunny spot with free-draining soil after the last frost date has passed. Pinch out growing tips early to encourage a bushier habit and more blooms. Water consistently during dry spells, but avoid waterlogging. Lift and store tubers in frost-prone areas once foliage blackens in autumn.
