Dahlia 'Cornel' ruby-red ball bloom

Ball · 3.5–4"RedCor Geerlings (1994)Netherlands

Deep ruby-red spheres, densely packed and perfectly round, sit atop strong upright stems from midsummer through frost. Flowers are uniform, weather resistant, and almost impervious to bruising, holding a true red without orange or violet undertones. This is the crimson commercial cut growers return to because it does not quit. It was bred in Netherlands by Cor Geerlings in 1994.

Growing Cornel

Cut your stems hard and often once buds color up, taking long lengths down to a strong leaf pair. The more you harvest, the faster new shoots break, and the tight spheres keep coming right through first frost.
