Hollyhill Pinkie is a laciniated dahlia that opens 3.5–4.5" blooms in pink. Hollyhill Pinkie opens to a soft candy-pink bloom with fringed petal tips that give each flower a feathered, powder-puff quality. A darker pink-to-lavender edge traces the perimeter of every petal, adding depth to an otherwise airy bloom. It was bred in United States by Ted & Margaret Kennedy in 2005.

Growing Hollyhill Pinkie

Pinch plants at twelve inches to encourage branching and a steady supply of stems through the season. Stake at planting time since the stems reach three-and-a-half to four feet and can lean under the weight of multiple open blooms. Water at the base to keep foliage dry and reduce powdery mildew pressure in late summer. Cut flowers when three-quarters open and condition in cool water right away for best longevity.
