Red petals tipped in yellow, each one fringed and twisted into something that looks almost too theatrical to be real. Jack Almand bred this variety in 1985 for the stage, and it delivers. Strong stems carry blooms with the kind of depth and substance judges notice. If you grow for ribbons, this one is already in your corner.

How to Grow It
Plant in full sun and stake firmly at planting time. This is a tall, heavy-flowering variety that needs the support early. Disbud by removing side buds around each main stem to channel energy into larger, show-quality blooms. Pinch after the plant reaches a good branching height to encourage more stems per plant. Water consistently at the root zone and avoid wetting the foliage.
