Picture a bloom so wide it takes two hands to hold, all warm pink flushed with soft gold from the base outward. Bred in New Zealand in 1940, Kidd's Climax has been winning dahlia shows and filling wedding pails for over 80 years. That combination of size, color shift, and longevity is why growers who discover it keep growing it.

How to Grow It
Stake at planting. Without early support, tall stems will lean or snap under the weight. Pinch early by removing the center shoot once your plant has several sets of leaves to encourage more branching and more stems. Disbud to push each stem to its full potential and stay competitive at shows. Lift and store your tubers after the first frost, and divide every year or two to keep your plant vigorous.
