Stake early and stake strong, because these heads get heavy once they start opening. Pinch the center shoot when you have three or four leaf pairs to coax side branches and more cutting stems. Disbud to a single crown bud per stem if you want the full showpiece blooms this one is known for. Feed generously through summer and watch for earwigs, who love to hide between the tight white petals.
