Bee Hive
The stem everyone at the farmers market asks about.
Also known as: Beehive
Warm, honeyed blooms glow from across a room like a late-summer ember. Each rounded sphere is packed with petals arranged exactly the way honeycombs are: tight, purposeful, and impossible to look away from. Farmers market growers love this one because it sells itself, and florists reach for it when an arrangement needs a focal point that earns its keep.

How to Grow It
Your plant is a vigorous grower that will reach well above knee height, so stake early and stake firmly before the stems have a chance to get ahead of you. Pinch out the central shoot after several sets of leaves have formed to push energy into lateral branches and multiply your stem count. You will see blooms arrive earlier than most in the season and your plant will keep producing right through until frost. Water consistently at the base and keep the foliage dry to protect those perfectly rounded heads.
