Bracken Sarah was bred in Australia by Neville W. Naumann in 2007. Bred by Neville Naumann on Queensland's Bracken Ridge, this variety produces full, reflexed heads in warm yellow that deepen toward apricot at the petal edges as the season cools. Tall, upright stems make it a go-to for high-volume cut flower production, and its long blooming window means it is still performing when most dahlias have called it quits. It also holds its form on the show bench.

Plant your tubers early indoors, as this late-season variety needs the head start to hit full stride before frost. Pinch the growing tip once your plant reaches knee height to build a branching framework with more stems. Stake firmly at planting time rather than waiting until top-heavy. Feed with a low-nitrogen fertilizer once the first buds appear, and deadhead consistently to keep new flowers coming through the back half of the season.
