Stake at planting so your stems have support before the first buds open. Pinch when your plant reaches four sets of leaves to push strong laterals and a higher bloom count. Water deeply but infrequently, and keep soil evenly moist once buds form. Cut stems in the cool of morning while petals are still firm for the longest hold.
