Slip a few stems into a bucket and watch the whole market booth stop mid-step. Hollyhill Masquerade blooms in two faces: deep burgundy on top, vivid fuchsia underneath, so every petal catches the light differently. This is the variety growers reach for when good enough is not in their vocabulary.

How to Grow It
Start your tubers after your last frost date and give each plant plenty of room for air circulation. Pinch the center shoot early to encourage branching and more stems per plant. Water deeply but infrequently so your plant develops a strong root system. Deadhead spent blooms regularly to keep production going through the season. A sturdy stake planted at the time of planting will save you from scrambling later when the weight of the flowers arrives.
