Picture a bloom so intensely red it seems to glow from inside. Narrow, spiraling petals curl to sharp points in a full, symmetrical crown. Bred in South Africa and named for a flamenco dancer, Juanita has been one of the most decorated dahlias in international competition, earning ADS Cream of the Crop recognition with over 18 blue ribbons. Serious growers and show benches keep coming back to it.

How to Grow It
Plant in full sun in well-drained, fertile soil. Pinch early when the plant is still young to encourage branching and more blooms. Stake plants as they grow, since the tall, free-blooming stems can become top-heavy. Juanita handles summer heat well and continues performing in warm climates where other varieties slow down. Lift tubers after the first frost and store in a cool, dry location over winter.
