Chat Noir fills a vase with deep, near-black garnet that makes other flowers look pale. Bred in France in 1975 by Ernest Turc, it has held the top-selling spot in the UK dahlia market for decades. Cut flower growers and wedding florists reach for it when they need one stem to do all the work.
