Ferncliff Kathleen
The stem florists reach for when the arrangement needs a warm center.
The blooms arrive in a peachy-bronze that reads warm from a distance, then reveal something richer up close: the reverse of every petal carries a rosy red that bleeds through and creates a color shift no one-note variety can match. Named for the breeder's daughter, this Ferncliff Gardens introduction is already a collector's priority and a cut flower grower's practical favorite.

How to Grow It
Plant your tuber in full sun after your last frost date. Pinch the center shoot once your plant has several sets of leaves to encourage branching and more stems. Your plant will grow to about knee height and benefits from light staking as it fills out. Harvest blooms when they are three-quarters open for the longest cutting life. The ombre effect is strongest in cooler late-season temperatures, so let it run through autumn.
