Jowey Chantal is a ball dahlia that opens 3–4" blooms in orange. Golden yellow and rust-orange swirl together in tight, globe-shaped blooms that seem to hold the last light of afternoon. Part of the Jowey series bred by Jozef Weyts in Belgium, every flower carries petals that tip from sunny yellow into deep burnt orange, a gradient that photographs cannot fully catch. It was bred in Belgium by Jozef Weyts in 2008.

Growing Jowey Chantal

Plant your tuber in a full-sun spot after frost risk has passed. Pinch the central stem when your plant reaches knee height to encourage branching and more stems per plant. This is a vigorous grower that benefits from staking before it gets tall. Your plant will start producing blooms in mid-season and keep going until frost.
