Hollyhill RPT is a waterlily dahlia that opens 4–6" blooms in red. Petals open in a warm rush of red that softens to pink as they approach the center, each bloom reading like a flame caught mid-motion. The Kennedys bred this as a sport of their own Pink Tigress, keeping the layered, symmetrical shape but pushing the palette into deeper, warmer tones. It was bred in United States by Ted & Margaret Kennedy in 2015.

Growing Hollyhill RPT

Stake at planting time because stems can reach four feet and carry full heads that bend in wind. Pinch the main shoot early to push lateral breaks and build a longer harvest window through summer. Water deeply at the base and let the soil surface dry between sessions to protect tuber health. Cut in the morning before heat builds and condition in cool water for the best stem uptake.

Spacing
Space roughly 2–3 ft apart
Staking
Stake early — stems carry heavy blooms and lean in wind
