Rich purple blooms with rolled, quilled petals that hold their shape from garden to vase. Dick and Susan Ambrose of Camano Island introduced it in 1994, one of over 100 ADS-recognized varieties from one of dahlia breeding's most decorated families. Serious exhibitors and collectors seek it out for the provenance as much as the bloom.

How to Grow It
Plant in full sun after your last frost date. Stake early. This variety develops substantial top growth and needs the support before you think it does. Pinch the central shoot above the third set of leaves to encourage branching. Disbud side buds around each terminal bud to direct energy into larger, show-quality flowers.
